Measure axle rotation position and rotation speed with the HiTechnic Angle Sensor. The Angle Sensor enables you to measure three rotation properties:

Absolute angle – the rotation position of a rotating axle from 0 – 359 degrees with 1 degree accuracy
Accumulated angle - the accumulated number of degrees an axle has rotated
Rotation Speed - the speed of the axle rotation in RPM (revolutions per minute)

With its very low friction mechanism, the HiTechnic Angle Sensor is ideal for building models where accurate measurement of rotation properties of an axle is key. Perfect for building a distance measuring wheel or a weather station wind vane.

Detect people or pets with the HiTechnic PIR Sensor. This Passive Infrared Sensor is similar to the sensors used on security lights that turn on when people or animals move in front of them. NXT Acceleration / Tilt Sensor

Now you can make robots that know which way is up! The HiTechnic Accelerometer / Tilt Sensor measures acceleration in three axes. It also measures tilt along each axis. Using the sensor, you can measure the acceleration of your robot build robots in the range –2g to + 2g. Great for experimenting with acceleration forces in cars, on amusement rides, even on swing sets. This sensor will also tell you if your robot is level so you can build self-leveling robots and much more.The Acceleration Sensor is housed in a standard Mindstorms sensor housing to match the other Mindstorms elements. NXT IRSeeker V2

The NXT IRSeeker V2 (Version 2) is a multi-element infrared detector that detects infrared signals from sources such as the HiTechnic IRBall soccer ball, infrared remote controls and sunlight. It is perfect for robot soccer competitions. The IRSeeker V2 operates in 2 selectable modes: Modulated (AC) ModeThe sensor will detect modulated IR signals such as those from the HiTechnic IRBall or some IR remote controls. In Modulated mode the sensor will filter out most other IR signals to decrease interference from lights and sunshine for example. The sensor is tuned to square wave signals at 1200Hz. Un-modulated (DC) ModeThe sensor will detect un-modulated IR signals such as older style IRBalls or sunlight.

NXT Barometric Sensor

The NXT Barometric Sensor can be used as part of a weather station or to monitor altitude. The sensor can be used to read both atmospheric pressure and temperature. The pressure value from the sensor is in 1/1000th of inch Mercury (inHg) and the temperature is in 1/10th degree Celsius. The NXT-G block allows the NXT to read the pressure in either inHg or hPa (hectopascals) and temperature in either Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees. NXT Gyro Sensor

Measure the additional dimension of rotation with the NXT Gyro Sensor. This sensor that lets you accurately detect rotation for your NXT projects. The NXT Gyro Sensor returns the number of degrees per second of rotation as well as indicating the direction of rotation. Measure +/- 360° per second and build robots that can balance, swing or perform other functions where measurement of rotation is essential. The NXT Gyro Sensor contains a single axis gyroscopic sensor that detects rotation and returns a value representing the number of degrees per second of rotation.
