Kitronik All-in-one Robotics Board for BBC micro:bit V1 & V2
This product is end of life and will only be available as long as it is in stock.  A Replacement can be found here: KIT-5693 Take your microbit robotics builds to the next level with the Kitronik All-in-one Robotics Board for the BBC micro:bit. The All-in-one Robotics Board enables the BBC micro:bit (connected via a standard card slot connector) to drive 4 motors (or 2 stepper motors) and 8 servos. Coupled with 17 other I/O expansion points, this means the BBC micro:bit can very easily become the core of a whole variety of robotics projects. The Robotics Board features 2 Dual H-Bridge Motor Driver ICs (capable of driving 2 standard motors or 1 stepper motor each) and 8 servo outputs (capable of driving standard and continuous rotation servos), all controlled from the BBC micro:bit using the I2C protocol via a 16-channel driver IC. The Link header breaks out all the usable pins from the BBC micro:bit, and is designed to allow 2.54mm pitch pin header to be easily soldered into place. The 17 available I/O pins allow other input devices, such as sensors, or output devices, such as ZIP LEDs, to be added to the board. The I2C communication lines are also broken out (Pins 19 & 20), which means other I2C compatible devices can also be added to the board and controlled by the BBC micro:bit. Power is provided via either a terminal block or servo-style connector, and the board then produces a regulated 3.3V supply which is fed into the 3V and GND connections to power the connected BBC micro:bit, removing the need to power the BBC micro:bit separately. This also provides the reference voltage for the servo signal level-shift ICs. The 3V and GND pins are also broken out on the Link header, which means external devices can also be powered. To use the Robotics Board, the BBC micro:bit should be inserted firmly into the edge connector, either way round. If the Link header is being used, the BBC micro:bit LED display should be facing them (see PCB text relating to this). Features: An all-in-one robotics control solution for the BBC micro:bit. It can drive 4 motors (or 2 stepper motors) and 8 servos. All the usable pins of the microbit are broken out to a 2.54mm link header that is compatible with 2.54mm pitch pin headers. The 17 available I/O pins allow other input devices, such as sensors, or output devices, such as ZIP LEDs, to be added to the board. Power is provided via either a terminal block or servo-style connector. Contains: 1 x All-in-one Robotics Board for the BBC microbit. Dimensions: Length: 68mm. Width: 62mm. PCB Thickness: 1.6mm.

Sensor Board for micro:bit
Description The MonkMakes Sensor Board allows you to detect sound levels, temperature and light levels. It features ring pad connectors for use with crocodile clips make it easy to connect to the board to a microbit. Sound Level:It senses sound level with a MEMs, which is a microphone on a chip that also features a pre-amplifier circuit. You can then use the plot bar graph block in the Microsoft MakeCode editor to display the result on the microbits LED matrix. Temperature Level:The temperature output from the board is a voltage that indicates the temperature. This is then measured using an analog input on the micro:bit. If you want your temperatures in Fahrenheit, then multiply the temperature in degrees C by 9, divide the result by 5 and then add 32. Light Level:The light sensor uses a photo-transistor to measure the light level and produces an output voltage that increases as the light level increases. It has 3V and GND connectors on both sides of the board which make it possible to power another board, such as the Relay Board or Powered Speaker Board. Features: 3V and GND connections can be made from either side and allow you to power a second board such as the MonkMakes Relay Board or MonkMakes Speaker. LED ‘power on’ indicator. Reverse polarity protection. All three sensors are analog and can be connected to pins P0, P1 and P2 using alligator clips. Detects sound level with a MEMs (microphone on a chip) and a pre-amplifier. Uses a thermistor to measure temperature. Light level detection with a photo-transistor (0 to 1023). All three sensors are analog and can be connected to pins P0, P1 and P2 using alligator clips. Contents: 1 x MonkMakes Sensor Board for the BBC micro:bit.

Kitronik :VIEW text32 LCD Screen for the BBC micro bit
The Kitronik :VIEW Text32 character LCD, for those times when the LED Matrix and/or external LEDs aren't delivering adequate visual feedback from your microbit project. The :VIEW Text32 is a character LCD showing 32 characters (2 lines of 16 characters). The :VIEW Text32 also breaks out the BBC micro:bit pins to edge pads (excluding pin14). The bottom edge of the board has a replication of the BBC microbits own edge connector, this allows you to plug the :VIEW Text32 into any board that the microbit itself can be slotted into. This is great news if your project outputs strings of text and numbers that previously would have slowly scrolled across the LED Matrix. The board has been designed so that the BBC micro:bit can be slotted into the edge connector on the top side of the PCB. No extra tools are required for installation, the board is supplied and ready to go --plug and play/work! On the back of the :VIEW Text32 is a 3 x AAA battery holder to provide power to the :VIEW Text32, the attached micro:bit, and the replicated edge connector. There is a power switch for turning the battery supply on and off. The replicated edge connector can supply 90mA (as per the normal micro:bit) Kitronik has produced a set of custom blocks for the Microsoft MakeCode editor. To add them click on the cog icon in the top right of the editor, then; select Extensions from the drop down menu, type and enter Kitronik into the search bar and select the :VIEW Text32 tile from the list. The custom blocks will now be added to the editor and can be used in your code. Features: The :VIEW Text32 is a character LCD showing 32 characters (2 lines of 16 characters). A BBC micro:bit can be slotted into the edge connector on the top side of the PCB. The board features a replicated microbit edge connector allowing it to be plugged into any board that a microbit can be slotted into. It features an on board battery holder that powers the display, the microbit and the replicated edge connector. The :VIEW Text32 can be coded with the Makecode editor or with MicroPython. Kitronik has created custom code blocks for the MakeCode editor to make using the :VIEW Text32 as simple as possible. Contents: 1 x :VIEW Text32 for BBC micro:bit. Dimensions: Length: 84mm. Height: 63mm. Thickness: 28.6.
